Join for a hybrid paved and nature hike that encompasses the lake and gorge areas of Sharon Woods Park (Lake + Gorge trail loop, 4.3mi). All 3 of the park's waterfalls can be viewed from the Gorge trail. After the hike, we will warm up at nearby Fretboard Brewing Co- Blue Ash for drinks and food.

Winter Waterfall Hike & Brews Join for a hybrid paved and nature hike that encompasses the lake and gorge areas of Sharon Woods Park (Lake + Gorge trail loop, 4.3mi). All 3 of the park's waterfalls can be viewed from the Gorge trail. After the hike, we will warm up at nearby Fretboard Brewing Company - Blue Ash for drinks and food (Smoked Out BBQ is located inside the brewery!). IMPORTANT NOTES: 1. Those that want to stick to the paved trail are welcome to shorten the hike to the 2.6mi Lake Trail loop and head to Fretboard early! 2. If Gorge trail conditions are deemed unsafe, the hike may be reduced to the 2.6mi Lake Trail loop. 3. Parking: Sharon Woods is part of the Great Parks of Hamilton County System and requires a parking permit. The cost of an annual Motor Vehicle Permit is $10 for residents of Hamilton County and $16 for all other park visitors. There is an entrance station that is staffed inconsistently during winter months. If staffed, passes can be purchased upon entry.

Meeting Place: Parking lot next to Sharon Woods Harbor & Boathouse. Closest entrance to the park is off E Kemper Rd. Once you turn onto Highbanks Rd and pass the entrance station, parking lot will be to the left.
Mileage: 4.3 (with option to only do 2.6)
Pace (See notes): Intermediate
Trail Rating (easy, moderate, hard): Easy
Dogs allowed: yes
Other notes including trail conditions or equipment recommended: Please always remember to bring water and wear appropriate footwear for your hike.
Hiking trekking poles if have them.
*Note: Beginners Pace is 1+ mph, Intermediate is 2+ mph, Speedy 3+ mph, or Runners 4+ mph.
Where dogs are permitted they must be leashed and kept under the owners control.
