Cincinnati Hikes Ladies Overnight Campout

Come out to the Vally View Foundation Farm for an overnight campout.

Facilities include an wooden platform shelter, fire pit, and porta-potties in the parking lot.

This property is on the Buckeye Trail, and so it should be considered a backpacking overnight, although we will only have to carry our gear from the parking lot behind Pattison Elementary to the camping location, which is less than a mile.  All backpacking ettiquite will need to be followed, as far as LNT and packing out all trash.

All participants will need to fill out a form for a camping permit and pay a fee of $5/person.  Small Tents are encoraged, as space is limited, and may be capped at some point.  All participants will be on thier own for dinner/snacks, etc.  There is a no alcohol policy at this property.

Upon registeration, a copy of the Camping Permit will be emailed to you and it must be submitted with payment prior to event.

Possible activities include:   an evening hike at Valley View Farm, cooking dinner or dessert at the campfire in the evening, enjoying the campfire.  Saturday morning volunteering on the farm, Saturday hike from Valley View on the Buckeye Trail (mostly road walking towards Batavia - this will be discussed on Friday night amoung participants and may require shuttling of participants from back from our ending point back to Valley View via cars staged prior to hike on Saturday morning.)

Where dogs are permitted they must be leashed and kept under the owners control.

Please bring a mask for when you cannot Socially Distance responsibly.
