Join us for one of my favorite spots - Gilmore Ponds. Known as a birding mecca with water views, turtles galore and interesting history around the old ice ponds. We are shooting for a 4.5 mile walk along part of the Miami 2 Miami bike Trail and the wetlands trail.

Join us for one of my favorite spots - Gilmore Ponds. Known as a birding mecca with water views, turtles galore and interesting history around the old ice ponds. We are shooting for a 4.5 mile walk along part of the Miami 2 Miami bike Trail and the wetlands trail. Please note we are meeting at the Seward Road Miami-Erie Canal Trail Head parking lot. This trail is a combination of paved trails, a boardwalk and unpaved trails. It can be very sunny in spots so suncreen is recommended. We will head over to the Back Porch Saloon afterwards for some tasty food and drinks.
