About the event
We’ll be hiking at Cincinnati Nature Center’s Rowe Woods during peak fall color! The walk will be roughly 3.5-4 miles in length as we make our way from the Visitor Center parking lot, to the Upland Trail (butterfly trail), to Wildflower Trail, to Far Ridge Trail, and back to the parking lot. Once we get a feel for what the group would like to do, we can either walk back the same way we came, or walk back on the other stretch of Wildflower Trail to Fernwood Trail, to Mashburn Family Discovery Trail. Far Ridge Trail crosses Avey’s Run, so balance will be required to walk the rocks across the creek (or be sure to wear waterproof boots). We will walk an average pace (roughly 2 mph) to take in all the sights along the way.
