About the event

Come to the East Fork South Trailhead to join the park naturalist on a 5-mile loop section of the Backpack Trail. This is a moderate hike with hilly terrain and stream crossings, goal pace is 35 minutes per mile. Weather and trail conditions the day of may increase goal pace and overall time. The hike will wind through the ravines on the south side of the park and deliver great views of the lake without the normal foliage that keeps it hidden. Bring your water! Layered clothing, hiking sticks and boots you can get muddy are recommended. No bathroom available during hike. LNT Participants will receive an ODNR explore Ohio sticker, while supplies last. Where dogs are permitted they must be leashed and kept under the owners control.
