Not far from the urban landscape of Covington KY is Doe Run Lake. It’s a few miles south of I-275 off route 17 in Northern Kentucky. In addition to the 3 mile hiking trail that loops around lake, there is a kayak rental kiosk & superior fishing.

Not far from the urban landscape of Covington KY is Doe Run Lake. It’s a few miles south of I-275 off route 17 in Northern Kentucky.. in addition to the 3 mile hiking trail that loops around lake, there is a kayak rental kiosk & superior fishing. Bring your trekking poles or pick-up a good walking stick because the west side of the lake can get dicey. Keep in mind if you need to cut out early you have the option to head back.
