Cincinnati Hikes Red River Gorge
**Beginning September 1st, you must RSVP to all Cincy Hikes events via the website www.CincinnatiHikes.com
Trail Leader Name: Shasta
Date: 10/30/2021
Time: 8:00am
Park: Red River Gorge
Trail: Natural Bridge and others
Meeting Place: TBD
Mileage: Around 5
Pace (See notes): Intermediate
Trail Rating (easy, moderate, hard): Moderate
Dogs allowed?: No
Other notes including trail conditions or equipment recommended?: Please always remember to bring water and wear proper shoes to your hike. Whatever hiking gear you think is necessary. I'll be wearing hiking boots, bringing a hiking stick, backpack (with small first aid kit), & my cup of ice water. Of course I'll also have my phone, ID & other essentials. Saying no to dogs on this one, since it's 2.5 hours away, we're carpooling & stopping for dinner (& maybe lunch) at some restaurant. The start time is when we'll meet to carpool. Please RSVP by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26th, so we can figure out location to meet. We'll also determine rather we want to take lunches with us to eat during our hike or in between trails, find some place to grab lunch. Also I don't want to feel rush, so please if you decide to join us, don't plan on being back at a particular time. I'm hoping to go back to Red River Gorge on an annual basis, so I figure we start with the easy trails (maybe Natural Bridge & a few others nearby). I want this to be the group's hike, not just mine (plus I've never been there), so if you're joining us, please offer any ideas & suggestions.
*Note: Beginners Pace is 1+ mph, Intermediate is 2+ mph, Speedy 3+ mph, or Runners 4+ mph.
Where dogs are permitted they must be leashed and kept under the owners control.
Please rsvp accordingly. If you can no longer attend a Cincy Hike, please change your status by replying to your RSVP email or filling out a contact form on the website. You can communicate that you’re running behind via the same methods or you can write on the wall of the Facebook event.
