We are starting our outing in French Park where we will hike around for a couple of miles and really tune into our hiker within! Afterwards we will attend the event hosted by MadTree called the Ascending Women Speaker Series: Grandma Gatewood Panel Discussion.

About the event
This is an incredible event that all hikers will be excited for! We are starting our outing in French Park where we will hike around for a couple of miles and really tune into our hiker within! There is a creek and some interesting terrain on this hike. Afterwards we will attend the event hosted by MadTree called the Ascending Women Speaker Series: Grandma Gatewood Panel Discussion. The Guest speakers are Emma Gatewood’s youngest Granddaughter, Katherine Seeds Nash, and the Author of Grandma Gatewood’s Walk, Ben Montgomery. I am 6 chapters in on this book and I find her life and her experiences fascinating! She is an inspiration and I am looking forward to this celebration of her contribution to hiking and the empowerment of women!
