Cincinnati Hike TVT Training Hike at Mt Airy

Come explore the wonders of Mt Airy on the little-known Explorers Trail in preparation of the TVT. Even if you’re not planning on doing the TVT but want to get in some good mileage and hills then this is a good place. This hike will include cascades, creeks, and plenty of elevation changes. Did this with a group in May and we completed it in just under 6 hrs including breaks and picture stops. We’ll be maintaining an intermediate pace.

Meeting Place: Mt Airy Forest. Park address is 5083 Colerain Avenue, Cincinnati OH 45223 PLEASE NOTE- We are meeting by Everybody's TreeHouse on Trail Ridge Rd. (Everybody's TreeHouse should automatically route you if entered into GPS)

Pace (See notes): Intermediate

Dogs allowed: No. There is a section by the gardens that is signed as no dogs and there is a couple long road stretches that are not conducive to pooches due to no or very narrow shoulder. Tell the pooches sorry but their safety is more important.

Other notes including trail conditions or equipment recommended: Comfy shoes and plenty of water.
