One of my favorite hidden gems is the Line Hill Mound Metropark, part of Rentschler Forest. We will hike 2.5 miles around a pond and through the woods including a steep section to the see the Mound area. Afterwards we will continue the fun at the Grandstand Bar and Grille.

About the event
One of my favorite hidden gems is the Line Hill Mound Metropark, part of Rentschler Forest. We will hike 2.5 miles around a pond and through the woods including a steep section to the see the Mound area. This is a less traveled park that can be muddy following rain. Afterwards we will continue the fun at another hidden gem that we discovered after a previous hike, the Grandstand Bar and Grille. Please see notes on directions and use the physical address.
I would suggest poles for the steep section, bug spray and water. If it has rained recently it could be muddy. The majority of the trail is unpaved and shaded.
